Y5 remember the people of France

Today in their French lesson some of Year 5 learnt about the symbolism of the French flag.  They looked at photos of landmarks around the world lit up in red, white and blue and redesigned the school logo to remember the people of France at this time. Here are a selection:

Victorian Courtroom Visit

As part of our History topic on Crime and Punishment, Year 5 has been to the Town Hall in St Albans to take part in a Victorian Courtroom Experience.

We re-enacted two real-life cases that were tried in this court in the late 1800s and were also able to visit the cells underneath the court.

Mars Compositions

Year 5 have been composing music to represent the landscape and atmosphere of the planet Mars in their music lessons. They used Garageband and were inspired by Holst, Ligeti, Vangelis and Mainwaring.  Here are a selection:
